Dubai International Film Festival is the leading film festival in the Middle East and Asia. It started in 2004 and has served an inspiring platform for all Arab film makers and talent at an international level. DIFF has established itself as a major festival with premieres of international movies from around the world. It has also extended its platform to present and honor excellence in cinema from countries in Asia and Africa. The festival has impressed its guests and viewers through its events quality and different types of workshops.
Madinat Jumeirah is proud to have hosted and sponsored the Dubai International Film Festival since 2004. DIFF has promoted over 300 films and host of award – winning talent from the members of the international film fraternity in the region. Every year, recognized actors from around the world attend DIFF like George Clooney, Oliver Stone, Richard Gere, Joshua Jackson, Gerard Butler and many more have enjoyed a week of celebrations at Madinat Jumeirah. In 2011 we were the host to many exhilarating movies and film crews from all around the world here to celebrate cinema, especially the team of Mission Impossible 4 – Ghost protocol starring Tom Cruise which part of the Dubai takes place in Dubai.
