Dubai Quality Appreciation Program

Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa celebrates yet another great milestone on its journey towards excellence. Abdin Nasralla, General Manager was handed the Dubai Quality Appreciation Certificate by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai at a grand ceremony held on 22 April 2009.

Best Weekend Getaway in the UAE

Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa were delighted to be awarded ‘‘Best Weekend Getaway in the UAE’ at the What’s On, Abu Dhabi Awards 2009. The awards ceremony took place recently in Abu Dhabi, whereby Abdin Nasralla, General Manager accepted the prestigious award on behalf of Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa.  The award was presented by Dennis Haysbert of popular drama series 24, famous Hollywood Actor, visiting UAE on Tour.

Jumeirah Bab Al Shams has won the ‘Best Weekend Getaway in the UAE’ twice before, as part of the What’s On Awards Dubai.  To win it for a third time this year in particular is very special, as it is for the Abu Dhabi region. 

Time Out Restaurant Awards 2009

Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa were delighted by the success of two of our restaurants at the Time Out Restaurant Awards 2009 held recently. Al Hadheerah, the resort’s signature desert restaurant, received the Best Middle East North African Highly Commended award under the MENA category with Le Dune, our Italian restaurant, securing a short-listed spot under the Best Romantic category.
