Julie Shields

Julie Shields, who is Australian, joined Jumeirah in April 2006 in the capacity of General Manager, in charge of the Group’s newly formed Global Residences division.

Prior to joining Jumeirah, Julie held the position of Area General Manager for Ascott International based in Singapore where she was in charge of the management of ten properties in Singapore as well as a collection of luxury bungalows. During her time in the Asia Pacific region, Julie was also a member of the Board of the Serviced Apartments Association of Singapore. Prior to this, Julie served ad General Manager with the Saville Hotel Group in Australia, one of the country’s most prestigious all suite hotel operators. Julie was a member of the Strata Management Institute in Sydney, Australia, was on the Board of Directors representing all suite hotels for the Australian Hotel Association and was also a Board member of the Chatswood Chamber of Commerce in Sydney, Australia. Julie is a graduate in business studies from the Wagga Technical College in Australia as well as an MBA graduate from Charles Sturt University in Australia. Having worked in all suite hotels, property and residences management for twenty years, Julie brings her wealth of experience and extensive knowledge to Jumeirah’s burgeoning worldwide portfolio.
